Schools Work

Alongside our youth and children's work provision, we work closely with our local schools and organisations to support students, teachers and our community.

School Football Teams

To support our local primary schools, Rob runs Year 5 and 6 football teams across the community. It gives children a chance to be active, burn off energy, and learn resilience, teamwork, and the value of practising a skill. The teams also take part in friendly tournaments with each other and other schools.

Set Piece Mentoring

Partnering with Lockleaze Sports Centre, Bristol Rovers Community Trust, local primary schools and The Vench, Set Piece Mentoring is an early intervention programme helping primary school aged children in year 5 & 6 to build resiliance, confidence, teamwork and emotional wellbeing through sport and mentoring.

Interventions

We also work closely with our local secondary school, Trinity Academy, to provide targeted interventions for students who are struggling to engage in school. This support may involve sport‑based activities, one‑to‑one or group mentoring, grief support, or other tailored interventions designed to help students remain in school and re‑engage positively with their learning.

Christian Union

Teacher and student led, our youth team helps run the Trinity Academy Christian Union, encouraging young people, exploring faith together, and building a Christian community within the school. We’ve also had the joy of hosting a carol service, making Christingles, and sharing pancakes as part of our time together.

Assemblies and Church Visits

We love partnering with schools to share the Christian faith whether through festive assemblies, school or Scout visits, or exploring the values that shape our community. We regularly welcome school and Scout groups into the church to look around, ask questions, and learn about different aspects of Christian and church life.
